Velvet tracksuit and a helping hand.

 Bosom friends,

so much juiciness to share with you today...

Kanye West attempted to replicate the stunt he pulled off on a previous edition of another award show: SHOCKER!
In 2009 he voiced his disappointment on live TV when Taylor Swift won Best Video at the MTV Video Music Awards. He actually climbed on stage while Swift was giving her acceptance speech...duche bag.
He almost went after Beck for the same reason: Kanye wants Beyonce to win Best of everything.
As simple as that.
This time around Mr West only pretended to step on stage while the band leader was about to give his thanks, but quickly went back to his seat in a sort of "only kidding" kind of way. Again, duche bag.

Kanye actually made a statement during the Grammys after party reiterating once again that Queen B should have won Best Album of the Year.
One more time for the cheap seats in the back: what a duche bag.

In response to West delightful behavior Shirley Manson (iconic vocalist form the band Garbage) wrote him on her Face Book page what follows:

Dear Kanye West
It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting artistry.
You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK.
You make yourself look small and petty and spoilt.
In attempting to reduce the importance of one great talent over another, you make a mockery of all musicians and music from every genre, including your own.
Grow up and stop throwing your toys around.
You are making yourself look like a complete twat.

Ps.I am pretty certain Beyonce doesn't need you fighting any battles on her account. Seems like she's got everything covered perfectly well on her own.

Well said indeed.

It's pretty clear how little I enjoy Kanyes music. As I often say, certain things are just not my cup of tea. I am sure his fans find his body of work mesmerizing. Not me.
On top of that his performance at this year Grammys was just silly. The song he presented was monotone and the synthesized effects perpetually filtering his otherwise OK voice did not help whatsoever. There was very little offered to the eye to enjoy too. West was wearing a Golden Girls velvety burgundy tracksuit. From a fashion obsessed brother like him I expected a little more. His performance had no use of any theatrical wizardry either. Only a spot light illuminating his persona from the ground. Spooky and boring since that is all you were offered to visually feast on for 3 minutes and a half.

My homemade childhood theater productions (I used to put them together with money stolen from my crazy aunt) used to be way more intricate and engaging (and the costumes were fabulous).
Again I am not questioning Kanye talents and vision. He does have something unique to share with his audience. I just won't be part of that lucky bunch. He does not ring my bell.

That being said I did find his shenanigans at the last Grammys rather stale and passe.
We got it Kanye, you don't agree with the academy choices.
I am sure millions of other music listeners, viewers and consumers do not agree either.
It is what it is.
We are all entitled to our opinion but there is a time, a place and a manner to speak our mind.
Doing it with such lack of tact and real bad timing doesn't make people wanna listen, it just bug the shit out of us all.
Also let's keep reminding ourselves that we are talking about music industry, not 3rd world hunger or medical research to cure cancer or AIDS.
A chill pill is highly recommended to Mr West.

Beyonce does not need Kanyes helping hand but his manners for sure could use one.

Ciao for now.
