You've Got Mail.

Bosom friends!

Today I am gonna get political..well, as political as I like to get anyway.

I will begin by saying that I love Hillary Clinton and I think she is the antidote to Sarah Palin and to all the bigot crap the Alaskan conservative gal carries with her. But I will leave Palin's comments on this topic for later. I will save the worst for last.

Hillary Clinton broke her silence Tuesday on the scandal surrounding her use of a private, nongovernmental email address while she served as secretary of state, saying that it was "a matter of convenience," that she "thought it would be easier to carry just one device" and that it was allowed under the rules of the State Department.
The "vast majority" of her emails, Clinton said, were work-related, sent to "government employees at their government addresses, which meant they were captured and preserved immediately on the system at the State Department."
Clinton said she withheld personal emails that she later deleted.

"I chose not to keep my private, personal emails — emails about things like planning Chelsea's wedding, my mother's funeral arrangements, condolence notes to friends as well as yoga routines, family vacations," Clinton said. "No one wants their personal emails made public, and I think most people understand that."
"I took the unprecedented step of asking that the State Department make all of my work-related emails public," she said.

But the potential Democratic presidential front-runner said she has no plans to turn over her personal email server, despite calls from Republicans and some Democrats to do so.
"The server contains personal communications from my husband and me," Clinton said. "The server will remain private."
The State Department has said that Clinton was within the boundaries of the law as long as she maintained records of her emails.

Poor Hillary.
I honestly don't understand why everybody nickers are in a twist at the moment.
What Hillary did is legal. Period.
What do we think she is hiding exactly???

I am sure Hillary was not plotting against the USA.
She was not organizing a book club with Kim Jong-un to enhance the cultural diversity of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
She couldn't even get away with littering without Fox News pushing the panic button. Good grief.

Hillary was the secretary of state and on top of that she still had to keep Bill in check and plan a wedding for Chelsea. I am surprised she had any time to do yoga classes at all.
Imagine having to deal with government issues and being married to a tool like Bill. Cope with that! He probably kept sending her emails with his saxophone classes schedule or asking her definitions to complete a crosswords puzzle.
Plus planning a wedding is no piece of cake. Eventually she got to unload Chelsae and she had to plan a party to celebrate. It's only fair. Personally I don't need to read her email correspondence with "Unique Designer's Cakes for Politicians" debating on how many tiers the Clinton wedding cake should have. No cream filling or white frosting allowed, God forbid we reminisce about Lewinsky.
Furthermore she had to plan her own mother's funeral and that task alone is just the epitome of surreal. Putting together a parent wake and burial is already shitty as it is. Going shopping for caskets and floral arrangements for a dead relative you loved is a bitch. All you want to do is cry your eyes out but you still have to choose between mahogany and cherry or between white and pink Chrysanthemums. I have been there. At that point you don't care who the fuck reads your emails, you are already busy putting your guts back where they belong.

What is clear to me is that she has been an exemplary woman and politician.
Unfortunately those two notions are not digested well when consumed together.
The Republicans do see a threat in her for the upcoming presidential campaign.
And so they should.
That is why they are riding this high unicorn of allegations against Hillary.
It's about time they get over it.
It's about time the USA elect its first female president. Actually, let me rephrase that.
It's about time the USA elect a president like Hillary.

I would like to finish you all off with Sarah Palin's 2 cents:

"As Secretary of State under Obama, Hillary Clinton used private email accounts on a privately maintained server 100 percent of the time for 100 percent government business. That’s unethical, no doubt illegal, and flies in the face of all claims of transparency. Hillary Clinton and her staff weren’t trying to be in compliance with the law; they were skirting it altogether."

Palin actually pats herself on the back for causing reporters to descend upon Alaska, thus helping the state’s tourism industry. Say whaaaaat?

"In fact, the release of my emails was a great boon for Alaska’s tourism industry because dozens of national reporters descended on Alaska to pour through tens of thousands of pages of my emails looking for some smoking gun.
You’d expect more from the self-described “most transparent administration in history.” And you should demand more from anyone who wants to be president someday."

These are pearls of wisdom, suppositories of farsightedness.
Palin's has it all figured out.

Thank the Lord, Jesus and the Holy Grail for women like Hillary.

Ciao for now.
