Morning un-glory!

That was not a satisfactory morning treat.
Good Morning America.
But I am not greeting the population of the land of opportunities.

I was enjoying a cup of percolated coffee made with my trusty Bialetti , reading the latest issue of "Indulge" magazine and just kissed my hubby goodbye on his way to the office, when calamity occurred.

My trusty Bialetti.
Good Morning America was on TV but it was on just to keep me company and also to inform me that the Mediterranean Diet actually has been proven to make you live longer. Preaching to the choir.
And of course they have been announcing repeatedly that Lady Gaga and the unsinkable Tony Bennett were going to perform live. Any minute now.
Eventually the moment came.
Drum roll.
There they were answering the usual questions. Third degree of commonplaces.
Gaga was wearing a fuchsia number resembling a Playmobil garment, rather stiff cut. Bennett was rather stiff, full stop. Bless him. I indeed adore Tony. Some says he is a dinosaur, I say he is a monument. He is the last of his kind. Just like African Elephants, by 2020 he will be extinct too.
They went on singing the title song of their collaboration album and 30 seconds into the performance the broadcast was rudely interrupted to give space to unmissable breaking news.
Mind you I love to be kept in the loop when it comes to upcoming catastrophes, imminent tsunamis and locusts infestations. But I do not need to know that a Maserati has been stolen and they are following it via helicopter down on Flagler stree.
I do not have the urge to see the live feed of the bandit adventure.
And the wobbling and unstable camera shot?
Instantaneous motion sickness provided.
The news anchors even sounded quite taken by the saga. They must eat weed laced pancakes for breakfast washed down with Prozac infused coffee.
How ill-mannered of you 10 WPLG ( where "abc" is broadcasted ).
How barbarous.
Nobody interrupts Gaga. Bennett otherwise does love breaks. Senior cat naps to be precise.
So I lost the whole appearance. I will feast my eyes on it later on YouTube. Together with the next singing/dancing pet sensation. Charlie bit my finger.

It was providential that Meryl Streep's interview was right after the Maserati mishap.
She is promoting "Into the Woods". I will write you a detailed review once the movie comes out on Christmas day. I will be camping in front of the theater like Star Wars extremists.
By the way infallible Meryl is looking amazing.

Meryl this morning. Just got out of bed. Uncanny.

A frighteningly stringy Kelly Ripa asked cinematic perfection Meryl if there is a movie she starred in that out weighs all the others. Seriously?!?
She hasn't been in a shitty project since she was potty trained. Pun intended.
Kelly shame on you, now go and eat a burger.
Meryl is a living art piece. Just admire her in silent veneration.

Speaking of admiring art ( wasn't that a remarkable 360? ) yesterday evening "the" hubby took me to see my very first Miami Art Basel installation. We walked there in the hope to rack up our 10,000 daily steps ( it must be a universal number for any body-type, sure... ).
Unfortunately we took the wrong turn ( yes hubby, you were right ) at the Bayfront Park and instead of the installation we first saw a plethora of homeless people arranging their evening scene.
They do enjoy prime estate grounds though. Lovely breeze and unparalleled ocean front views.
Even vagrants go big here in Miami. Go big or go homeless.
Eventually we made it to the right place and the installation "100 SHIELD WARRIORS" in war against the war, by Sylvain Subervie appeared before our eyes. The sketches we saw at his art gallery in the Design District suggested the piece was going to be of jumbo proportions but even though it wasn't tiny, it wasn't gargantuan either. As they say never meet your hero.

"100 Soldiers"

Handsome boys.

The setting is quite dramatic and the soldiers are particularly striking. Almost camp if you will.
They sort of resemble a Rockettes chorus line. Precise and well choreographed.

Rockettes Dance of the Wooden Soldiers.

And since the Holidays season is upon us I awfully enjoyed the correlation.
What a view!

Speaking of view ( another 360 ), "The View" is on.
I better go.
None of the other ladies sitting around that cherry tree table is well informed on what Whoopi Goldberg is talking about ( they just keep nodding their heads like dashboard figurines ) and Rosie O'Donnell is pulling a muscle trying not to look like a public school bus driver. Just like me trying not to have a glittered, flaming Unicorn falling out of my mouth every time I utter a word.
Hard work I tell you.
She is wearing good glasses though.

Time for another trusty Bialetti percolation.

Morning glory for real.

Ciao for now.
